- [EJ Hassenfratz] Welcome to Motion Graphics Weekly, where you up your Mograph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz, let's get our learn on. The Cinema 4D Sketch and Toon Module is the perfect tool for turning your 3D objects into 2D illustrative style animation. In this week's video, I'm going to show you how you can use the Sketch and Toon Spot Shader to add a stylized halftone pattern to your objects. Here is my scene, and let me just break down what's happening. I'm just going to go into my Interactive Render Region so we can see exactly what we have here. I have a Ribbon made up of just a plain object using a Spline Wrap to deform that geometry along a spline, and I have some Displacers underneath that ribbon spline, just kind of making a nice undulation motion here. You can see I have Sketch and Toon lines outlining my ribbon, giving it a really nice illustrative feel. I also use the Spline Shader to add this text to the ribbon.
