Sudden changes with hold keyframes
- [Instructor] Held keyframes are really useful in After Effects, And a lot of people miss them because they're not that easy to find unless you use something like the graph editor. They are really useful anytime you want a value to hold until another value happens. So, for example, if I want something to change from black to white suddenly without interpolating through all the gray levels in-between I can use the held keyframe. We're in 03_02_Hold project so if you've got access to the exercise files you can follow along with us. So here I've got a text layer, and I've animated the hue changing, and the position changing over time. And you'll see that's gradually changing color as we move through our animation. So we've got the color changing over time, and the position changing over time. And you can see that as it changes color it goes through all the different colors in the spectrum.
