From the course: Element 3D Essential Training (2013)

Surveying the project

In this chapter, we are going to be looking at this big project that I created, almost entirely in Element. Let's go ahead and take a look at that project. (video playing) Okay, so there is that little project, and it took me many hours to create. So, we are not going to be going through it step-by-step, and also, this isn't exactly production quality, even though it's a pretty fun, little project. And, I also use separate After Effects projects for each scene. And, because of that, I'm not really happy with the way that I didn't really do a good job of unifying the color palettes of each shot. So, they kind of look like they're from separate movies. Here, we have kind of, like, a green and red color palette. And here, there is kind of, like, blue and orange, and it's just, it's just kind of a mess. So, it's not perfect. And so, what we are going to do is go through in this chapter, and look at a few of the things that we have talked about throughout this training series. And I want to show you how I use them, and also as we go through this, we are going to learn a few extra tips on top of what we have already learned. [00:01:.71] Note that we are also going to go in order of the workflow. So first, we are going to add the models, and then, we're going to replicate the objects, and then, we are going to make them look better with adding materials, and lighting, and animating them. And that's kind of the workflow that you want to follow in real life to make sure you don't get bogged down. So, let's look at how we made this project.
