Timing a text animation

In the previous chapter we focused on the subject of doing video cuts and cross fades in time to music. In this chapter we're going to take it up a notch and talk about animating text presets in effects, altering frame rates of sequences, and even playing around with editing expressions in After Effects again in time with music or dialogue. We're going to start with simple text animation. In my comp3.1, using Text Preset Starter I have a variation on the video edit we've been working with for several movies. In this case, I happen to have built it from the bottom up. I have some hard cuts in addition to my crossfades, and a couple of other minor differences, but that's not why we're here. We're here to talk about now how we animate text on top of this video, and also make its animation time and work well with the music.
