- [EJ] Welcome to another Motion Graphics Weekly, where you up your mo-graph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz. Let's get our learn on. Imagine having the ability to have the equivalent of an After Effects precomp inside of inside of Cinema 4D, where you could save a project as an individual file and use it and import it inside of another project. It's project inception, basically, a project within a project. Well, that feature does exist inside of Cinema 4D in the form of what is called an XRef. Now, XRefs allow you to basically save assets as their own encapsulated file and import them as a single object inside of another project. Now this is huge when working with massive, complex files, or on a project team where different artists are working on different elements in your scene.
