Using Content-Aware Fill in Photoshop

- [Instructor] In Photoshop, we need to replace these missing pixels. I'm going to do this by starting with the Content Aware Fill. Command or control click on the layer's thumbnail to load the selected pixels. Then choose select inverse to reverse the selection. I'll now use the select modify with the expand command to create a bit more overlap. 20 pixels should do. Now, we're ready for Content Aware Fill. I'll choose edit, content aware fill to bring up the dialog. Here, it's showing me the pixels that are being used. I can decide to remove something. For example, painting out her face. So those pixels are not considered as part of the active area. And you'll see as you make this change how the pixels are subtracted. When you release, it will analyze and recalculate.
