Using the Roto Brush tool to make a selection

- [Instructor] Another selection method that frequently works well is the roto brush. It can analyze a clip, and find edges over an area that you paint. To use it, double click to load the layer into a footage window. You'll see now, composition versus layer. Now, choose the roto brush. The key here is to not get too close to the edge, rather just draw and trace through the center of the object. You can get close to the edge, but you don't want to get too close. It'll analyze, and attempt to find it. Click to add as necessary. You might want to zoom in a little bit. Holding down the Spacebar makes it easy to move. If I want to subtract, I just hold down the Alt key, or the Option key, and it subtracts. Again, you don't need perfection here, but a few strokes will build this up. This is a particularly tricky object, because of the glass, but this is a good selection. Now, you might be thinking, "I could just do that…
