- [Instructor] Probably just like you, I speak to my peers along with other designers, illustrators, and art workers just about everyday. I'm always interested to find out what their challenges are and the number one thing that keeps popping up over the last year or so has been the demand for video skills. Mostly, the requirement at least at the minute isn't for everyone to become mega-skilled editors or animators but at least be able to understand how to prepare assets for those workflows. But why stop there? The industry designed standard tool set is Creative Cloud and that membership gives you access to all of the desktop tools. And so if you've got access to them why not explore? You maybe surprised to find out that more you think of what you already know from the design tools you use everyday is portable to the world of digital video. There are quite a few good reasons to invest a bit of time in learning more digital skills beyond the static environments you work in today but I'll propose three to you now. Video is a growing medium and that isn't going to slow down anytime soon. In fact, it's likely to accelerate. The demand for online video is creating completely new challenges for brands and companies. It's going to expand your current offering either for career advancement, if you're working for a company, or for your clients if you're a freelancer. And added bonus in that case of course would be that you could charge a bit more for that work. It is and is considered to be highly skilled. And that's true, it is. But there's awful lot of space in between amateur video and Hollywood and that can be occupied by you. Video is an excellent medium for promotion. And that's great if you're using the skills as part of your job. It will get your recognized in your own community of interest and in your place of work. But, it's fantastic if you're a freelancer. You've got everything to gain and all you need to do is invest a little bit of time and keep it going. So, let's get started and find out more about the world of motion.
