- [EJ] Welcome to Motions Graphics Weekly, where you up your MoGraph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz, let's get our learn on. I'm always shocked when I poll my Twitter followers about if they use Cinema 4D layers or not. And a majority of them have never, ever used them before. So that's why I'm gonna continue my quest to enlighten everyone about why they should be using layers in Cinema 4D and show you just what you have been missing out on if you haven't. Now, not using layers would be kinda tantamount to not using pre-comps in After Effects. It's just that simple, it's that crazy to not use layers. It's such a great organization tool, but it's also so much more. It allows you to not only organize a scene, but it allows you to toggle calculations on many things and isolate layers.
