Working with filters and color

Working with filters and color

Let's try something a bit different where we shoot in reverse. We're going to have the banana on the plate here form up and go from an open banana where it's already been eaten, to one that goes back to the whole banana with the knife and plate intact. Now it's a lot easier to shoot this backwards because, after all, once you've cut up a banana, they're pretty hard to glue back together. We get this sort of experimental thing going, and I like the composition of the camera here. Lets just lock that shut off, that same trick with the rubber band, so the zoom lens doesn't move. Looks good, and as I look at the image on the screen, while I like it, its not quite experimental enough. Fortunately, iStopMotion has some in app effects to process the image. Lets try some tilt shift effects and color effects. Looking at the image here, the back drop is a really clean crisp light, and it just doesn't have the same feeling that I want to go for. I want to bit of a nostalgic, color-graded feel…
