I just want to give a look at the digital landscape to create which project or which effect. in the motion graphics world but a lot less common visual effects at the highest levels, anyway. visual effects at the highest levels, anyway. Though it's not uncommon to see the After Effects-Cinema 4D workflow on indie projects and smaller films, big-budget films more frequently use Maya and Houdini for general 3D work and effect simulations, and also they use Nuke for compositing. If After Effects or Cinema 4D are used for visual effects work it's usually done with the help of a few plugins. In After Effects there are several great plugins for particles and effects, like Plexus, Stardust, and others, but none is more common or more helpful than Trapcode Particular by Red Giant. Maybe Trapcode Form is a close second. For visual effects you'll also need some 3D work a little bit, and Element 3D by Video Copilot is a tremendously helpful tool…
