- After Effects is capable of a lot of different things and in this first section of the course, I'm going to show you what I call it's six fundamental foundations. If you know these well you'll find yourself becoming fully fluent in After Effects. If you don't even know what they are it's hard to imagine where to even start. So without any further fanfare here's my list of the six fundamental foundations compositions, layers, animation, 3d, effects, and rendering. We'll begin by creating a simple shot that touches on each of these foundations. Don't worry about following along step-by-step on this one. We'll spend the rest of the course going deeper.
