Converting a SubD to mesh

- One technique that I really like to use in Alias, is converting Bezier NURBS or subdivs to meshes. Now, the reason I do this is that a mesh is a lot lighter weight compared to the original Bezier and NURBS, or sub div data. So if you have a lot of data on the screen that you're in a presentation, for example, you have to shade it you have to manipulate it, meshes work a lot better. And visually you really can't tell the difference between the two. I'm going to show you how to convert this subdivision into a mesh. So let's go to the command and the command is under mesh, mesh tessellation sub div to mesh, and let's look at our options. So the only option we have is sub div levels. We can go from one to six, as you can see. So let's go all the way back down to one. And we're going to say, go to that. Now, in this particular case you have to have a sub div preselected.
