- In this video we're going to take a look at some of the options with copy and paste. Now you may well ask what could be more difficult than copy and pasting? It's just a simple ctrl c, ctrl v, copy and paste. Well in Alias there are some options that you do need to be aware of. So let's take a look at this model here, and we have a layer for Sphere, which contains a sphere. We have a Torus, Cylinder, Cone, and we have a blank layer here, and I'm going to make this one active by just clicking on it. So let's bring these entities back. Let's go ahead and select the Cylinder, ctrl c for copy, ctrl v for paste. And because I have my layer Copy active, it should paste onto that layer. So let's go ahead and hide these entities now. We're going to hide Sphere, Torus, Cylinder, and Cone. Now you'll notice that nothing appears on my Copy layer even though that's the active layer.
