Extruding simple SubD elements
- The extrude command is probably one of the most important commands that you'll be using during your design process. You can use it with curves. You can use it with bézier and nerves entities and you can also use it with subdivision entities. So let's take a look at the options. So under subdivisions, I'm going to click on the extrude command here. We have the option to extrude in a global direction or in a normal direction. We have the option to pick subdivision faces, edges, curves, or all. We also have the option to rebuild the curve option so we can increase divisions. We can change the mode and we have a curvature bias option. At the very top we have Weld Together and Edges As New Bodies, but you'll notice that some of these entities are grayed out. They'll only be invoked depending on what entity that we use to extrude. Let's take a look at some basic entities. So this first curve here is a degree one…
