How to apply a bevel to an edge
- [Instructor] Let's take a look at how we can apply a bevel, or a chamfered edge, to our parts. So let's zoom in on this very first handle, and I'm going to go into box mode, and we're going to pick this edge down here and apply a bevel to it. Let's look at the Bevel command. We're going to open that up. We have relative, and you can dial in a parametric value under relative. We have distance, and you can dial in a distance. And for both of these, we still have the option for division, crown, and edge loop. And I want to leave edge loop on here because I'm actually going to be applying this chamfer, or bevel, to this whole edge in one go. So let's just go ahead and pick that edge. Spacebar to accept. And the value of 0.5 is the start point of this bevel relative to the existing edge or the previous edge. So this start value should be exactly halfway between this control point and this control point. Let's check that…
