How and when to use the SubD cut command

- Let's take a look at another way to cut through subdivision entities. So I'm going to go into a top view and let's focus on the plain. And we're going to use the multi-cut tool. So with the multi-cut tool, it's a very simple dialog box. We have an offset value. We can pick CV's, Edges, and both. So I want to leave it on both for the moment. And let's go ahead and pick this plane. Now, the first thing to note here is that you don't actually have to have an edge pre-selected. In this case, I can just select the sub div. The edges and control points light up and then I can go straight into my command like that. So let's use control Z. If I pick my first edge and then slide that slider around, you can see that the offset value is changing. So if I want that point to be exactly in the middle, I'm just going to change that value to 0.5 and then I can carry on like this. Another thing to note is that it doesn't restrict you…
