Planar surfaces
- Let's take a look at another important command, which is the Set Planar command. It creates a Surface, so it's going to be located in the Surface tab, and there we have Planar Surfaces, Set Planar. So before we do this, let's go into a Top View, and we're gonna create some data. Let's go ahead under Curves, Primitive, Circle, let's create a circle like this. And then with ctrl + C, ctrl + V, and we're gonna move that and ctrl + V again, and move this one, like so. So, let's take all this data, and switch off the Cv/Hulls. So, with the Planar Surface command, we're gonna Set Planar. Look at the options, very, very simple, let's just say Go. Look a the prompts, Select and Drag the Curves. Well, we can Select and Drag this one, space bar, and what it does, it creates a Trimmed Surface for us. So, if I switch off the Grids, we'll probably be able to see this a little bit better. So in some cad systems, this would be called a Faced Surface, because I can always go back and retrieve the…
