Surface sweep extrude

- In this video, we're going to take a look at the surface extrude command. So let's zoom into these entities, and we're going to go to the surface extrude command, which is a swept surface, extrude, and let's take a look at the options. Let's do a recess on that. At the top we have a style, which is tube or flat. Create caps, we've already covered create caps when we were creating primitives. For example, the cylinder has a cap on either end, or we can remove those caps and have a tube. And we have extrude pivot point, which is closest and component, and in most cases closest will be the one that gives you the best result, but I'm going to show you what happens if you do use component during this video. So let's just go with those options, and we're going to pick this circle here. Spacebar to accept. Pick the path, and that's the extrude. Let's go to the top view, and let's shade this up, and that's exactly what we're looking for. We're looking for a radial sweep along the path. So…
