- Okay so, so far we've been looking at rendering modes that help us analyze surface quality. And now, we're going to jump into rendering modes that is really going to be useful more of a storytelling application. So these are not necessarily the best methods to analyze surface quality, it just allows you to add a little bit more substance to creating a story or creating an image that kind of shows the concept in its best light. But again, not necessarily for surface analysis. So let's go up to Diagnostic Shading again, and we've been through some of these options and we are going to now jump right down to vis1, vis2, vis3 and these are called visual states. So if I click on Visual State 1, you'll notice that we have a slightly different option in our Diagnostic Shading dial up box. So now, we're going into more of a mode of kind of rendering this in a in-context, in an environment, we've got some shadows applied. So let's take a look at some of these options.
