What you should know before watching this course

- Since Alias is used primarily as a 3D application, a basic knowledge of CAD terminology would be beneficial, but not essential. We'll be moving between the 2D and 3D world, and also using autographic view and isometric views during our creation process. Alternative 3D CAD applications like Inventor or CATIA, use very similar techniques and principles that we will be using with Alias Design. If you're new to 3D CAD, the completion of this course will help you move on to learning additional CAD applications in the Lynda.com library. Having a basic knowledge of Windows, Windows commands and the Windows file structure, would certainly help with moving through this course, but the main focus is to get you up and running with CAD modeling as quickly as possible.
