The random-color diagnostic shader

- Let's take a look at another very useful way of rendering, and that's by using the Random Color shade. We're gonna go up to ObjectDisplay, Diagnostic Shading, and next to the multicolor we have Random Color. If I click on Random Color what Alias will do for us, it will basically shade each individual surface a separate color as you can see here. Why this is very useful is that in wire-frame mode it's not always easy to see what the patch breakup is of this model. By patch breakup I mean do I know that this fillet down here comprises of one, two, three, four, five, six separate surfaces? Or is that indeed just one fillet that runs through there? And the same for this one here. When we use this option here, the fact that it's applied one color to that whole strip of fillets there tells me that that's one surface. It's a really good way to identify how complex the model is and how the patches are broken up. Let's go to wire-frame and I'm gonna go ahead and create another piece of data…
