- [Instructor] As an affiliate, there are two main types of products that you might want to consider promoting. You have your digital products and you have your physical product. So a digital product is a product that can be consumed online. There are many examples of digital products including online courses, e-books, softwares, or mobile phone apps. So some of the benefits to promoting digital products include higher payouts. They also tend to have recurring commissions in some cases as well, so for example, if you are promoting an app as an affiliate, then that app might require your customer to pay every single month, and as a result, there are some affiliate programs that will grant you a commission, every time your customer is rebilled, so that can be a really lucrative affiliate program to go after.
