What is an affiliate?
- [Instructor] Affiliate marketing is quite simply when someone promotes somebody else's product or service and in return for doing so, they get a commission from every successful sell that they make. Now, affiliate marketing is normally done online. Affiliate marketing is also a form of performance-based marketing. So one of the key components to affiliate marketing is the fact that you, as an affiliate, will only make money, you only make commissions when your customer actually converts and buys whatever it is that you are promoting, so that's something really key that you want to keep in mind.
