- [Instructor] Of the various resource types that AWS offers to its customers, one of the most commonly and heavily used resource type is compute. AWS Compute Optimizer is a service that analyzes the configuration and utilization of your compute resources and provides recommendations to reduce costs and improve performance. Compute Optimizer uses machine learning to understand your historical usage and provides recommendations for four types of AWS resources: Amazon EC2 instances, Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling groups, Amazon EBS volumes or Elastic Block Store volumes, and AWS Lambda functions. For Amazon EC2, the AWS Compute Optimizer service looks at the instance's CPU, memory, and network specification and classifies findings into these types. Under-provisioned.
