AWS Shared Security Responsibility Model overview
- [Instructor] As we're starting our journey working with AWS security, I'm going to start by bringing up the Amazon shared responsibility model for security. It's really foundational to understanding how to best implement security on the Amazon ecosystem. And you can see that there are two main parts. There's a customer section, and that's what we're gonna be working on. We are responsible for security in the Cloud. And then there's an Amazon section where they are responsible for security of the Cloud. So the core sections of the customer responsibility match the sections of this course. We're going to look at methods to secure customer data, customer platforms applications, identity and access management to secure operating systems, network and firewalls, and in our explorations we'll look at encryption, data integrity, and securing network traffic.
