- [Instructor] Let's review AWS Global Infrastructure. Here is a world map at the time of this recording so it might differ when you look at it showing all of the global AWS current regions and they're numbered and in gold and the planned regions or the announced new regions that are not yet online and those have green circles around them. When you're designing for scalability, it's important that you select the region or regions that are going to work best for your business scenario. Be aware of course that not all AWS services are available in all regions nor is the cost of all services the same in all regions. So all this factors need to be considered. In addition to regions, this is a conceptual drawing showing that different regions have different numbers of availabilities or zone AZs. And it's important for both scalability and also high availability to implement AWS services and solutions not only in multiple AZs but potentially in multiple AZs in multiple regions depending on…
