- [Instructor] The use of cloud computing means that there are two parties involved, the cloud service provider and the cloud customer, otherwise called a cloud tenant. So the question becomes, who is responsible for IT services in this environment? And the answer, generally, is that it depends. Let's elaborate. So with cloud computing, we're talking about IT service outsourcing. The cloud service provider is responsible for data centers that house IT equipment like servers, routers, switches, storage arrays, and so on, and the cloud service provider also goes through third-party security audits to ensure compliance with certain types of security programs or laws or regulations. The cloud service provider also creates service-level agreements.
