Configuring SDN routing

- When it comes to network traffic, routing refers to controlling the path that network traffic will take to ultimately arrive at its destination, whether that traffic is coming into a network or leaving a network. So in this particular case, I'm going to configure routing. So to do this here in AWS, I'm going to start by going to the VPC management console search for VPC, and I'll click on VPC in the list, because what I want to do is first begin by configuring an internet gateway and then configuring a route table entry for a subnet to make sure that traffic goes through that gateway to get to the internet. So I'll click on Internet Gateways on the left, and I'll click Create internet gateway in the upper right. I'm going to call this IGW, or internet gateway, dash East1, and then I will create it by clicking the Create internet gateway button in the bottom right.
