- Now first in taking a look at Neptune, we'll start in the console here and it gives us a lot of information about what Neptune is, how it works and then we would typically just go to launch Amazon Neptune now this might change by the time you take a look at it, but I ran into something that was a little bit tricky and I wanted to actually talk about it because it demonstrates some things you need to know when you work with Amazon Data Services or Amazon Services in general. Now I went ahead initially and I filled out these parameters in the Web UI and I set up Neptune Cluster and it took about five minutes. It's VM based again. And so I set up the engine, the instance class, let's pick one here, whether or not I want read replicas, the instance identifier, so demo-thursday. And then I would click next and then the VPC, the subnet group, availability zone, if I want a cluster identifier, the port and encryption settings…
