- [Instructor] In the Cloud, there are many variations of how to work with infrastructure as a service or IaaS, one of which would be through Cloud storage or perhaps deploying virtual machines in the Cloud. In this particular case, we're going to take a look at deploying an EC2 instance, a virtual machine in the Amazon Web Services environment. So to get started here from the AWS management console, I'm going to navigate down under All Services and Compute and I'm going to click "EC2". That will take me into the EC2 management console, where on the left, all click "Instances". Any existing instances will be shown here with their state. Currently, all of my virtual machine instances are stopped. So I'm going to click "Launch Instance" in the upper right to launch or create a new one. The first thing I have to think about in Amazon Web Services is the Amazon Machine Image or the AMI. This is essentially the operating system image.…
