- [Instructor] One way to achieve high availability for cloud storage is to make sure that it's available in more than just a single geographical region. This is related to security because we're talking about high availability. If there's a disruption of some kind do we still have access in this case to cloud store data? So to enable cross region replication here in Amazon web services, I'm going to start by going into the S3 management console where my storage buckets are listed. What I want to do is open up an existing bucket and I want to make sure that I add a replication rule to replicate it to an alternate region. Currently, the region is shown in the upper left area as being U.S. East, North Virginia. And that's great. What if there's an outage in that region? What if for some reason we can't get two data centers in that location. We want data to be available elsewhere if it's mission critical. So I'm going to…
