Object tagging
- [Instructor] Another security fundamental is AWS object tagging. So, a couple of reminders. Tags are case-sensitive and they're key-value pairs. They can be saved as resource groups and it's very important that you plan a naming convention and you enforce tagging requirements via tools. In some cases, some of the Amazon and third party monitoring tools require tagging. So let's just take a look at tagging through the console. So you can see I'm logged in as adminuser1, and you'll remember from the previous movie that I have access to all services here. Let's view tagging at a high level and then by surface. Let's look at Resource Groups and Tag Editor. And we'll select our region. We'll select All resource types. We'll select purpose. Now, you can see there's two types of tags here in the dropdown. Those tags that start with AWS: are generated by AWS services, and those tags that do not have that are user generated. So I have purpose, tagged with any value, demo. And then I'm gonna…
