Performance efficiency trade-offs
- [Instructor] So we've made some changes. We've added what we thought was a good idea to the application. Well, there's always going to be a trade-off. I love the application. It's so much better. It's costing us more money. It's way more durable. It's costing us more money. We didn't lose our data. Okay, I can live with spending a bit more money. Well, we've got to figure out what the trade-offs are going to be. Where is performance most critical in your workload, storage, networking, compute? Are they all joined at the hip? Well, monitoring's going to tell us where the issue is. Then we have to look at our design patterns and our service that we're using, and decide where we make the tweaks to improve our overall workload performance. And it's a guarantee, if you haven't looked at performance efficiency in the last six months, there are new and exciting changes at AWS which will give you that performance that…
