Public clouds

- [Instructor] Another cloud computing delivery model is the public cloud. The public cloud is available potentially to anybody over the internet. I say potentially because they might need to sign up with an account, whether it's a free trial account or a paid subscription account. However, public clouds are highly scalable in comparison to private clouds, which are owned and used by single organization. Generally speaking, public cloud providers have many more resources to have much more underlying infrastructure available for cloud tenants than would be available in a private sector sense. Public cloud providers have global data centers in different regions around the world. The benefit here is number one, high availability. Whether it comes to store data in the cloud or running services, you can configure data or services to exist in multiple regions, so that if there's a regional outage, you still have that data…
