Resource pooling

- [Instructor] Yet another cloud computing characteristic comes in the form of resource pooling. Resource pooling refers to cloud service providers that have the underlying resources, the infrastructure, things like network equipment and the configuration of it, storage arrays, servers that can run virtual machines. All of those are resources that get pooled together and made available for cloud customer use. This is resource pooling. So the cloud service capabilities then are shared among cloud consumers. Now, that's not to say that any private data from one cloud tenant is made available or shared with other cloud tenants because that is not the case. It's kept isolated. But the underlying resources are pooled and made available to be used by cloud tenants. As a result because of this, economies of scale make cloud computing affordable.
