- [Instructor] To this point in this course, we've been looking mostly at Amazon tools around application, automation, and configuration management and CINCD. Because many of the Amazon tools, the Code Commit, Code Build, so on, so forth are pretty new, in the real world, there are other tools that I'm working with more frequently, and I just want to include them here. So, a list of some of the configuration tools that I see out there, Ansible and Salt, which are Python based, Chef and Puppet, which are Ruby based, and Rex, which is Perl based. So, let's take a little bit closer look at Chef and Puppet, cause those are the ones that I see most often. It's really interesting how much of a religious debate there is between Chef and Puppet out there for configuration automation. They basically are providing very similar functionality, but in a slightly different way. They're both Ruby based and they integrate with other tools. You can see here this is from the Chef website.
