To appreciate the concepts discussed in this course, I recommend that you have a basic understanding of virtualization technology and essential services offered by AWS, such as compute and storage. You will also need to have an AWS account to follow along with the exercises shown in this course. I also recommend that you have a basic understanding of the AWS CLI or command-line interface. We've designed this course for system administrators in a systems operations role.
