Create a new app listing

- [Instructor] Now that we have a Google Play Developer account, we can get started publishing our app. From the Google Play Developer Console, click the blue button that says, create app. Start by giving the app a title. For my sample app, this will be Simple Astronomy POD. Oops, misspelled that. Next, select the primary language. I am leaving it at the default of English and then select whether this is an app or a game. Selecting game will allow you to connect it to Google Play games, and you can change this later. My sample app is an application. Next, set whether the app is free or costs money, is paid. You can't change this later if you choose paid now. So if you aren't sure, choose free. The sample app for this course is free. Scroll down. Finally, we need to confirm that the app meets the Developer program policies, which I do recommend you take a moment to read through when you can. And we need to accept the US export laws because Google is a US company. Now we can click create app, and you will be brought to the dashboard for the new app where we can finish setting things up.
