- Let's take a character and add some details: warts, brow ridges, wrinkles, tufts of hair, all that kind of stuff, we'll really make him pretty. So the first thing I want to do is give him some warts. Let's start with that. We will just draw in a few, and remember when you're doing this, these circles are attaching to a physical shape, and try to follow the contours of what you think the area should be. So for example, these warts here or freckles if you want to think of them as flat on the surface, they're just going directly over a cheek that's curved, so I want to make them match that. The cheek is like that, these warts should more or less follow along. One nice trick to use when you're designing stuff like this is to remember that it's good to be able to draw these with some kind of control. So imagine that there is a line going from here to the corner of the mouth, and the center of these freckles or warts will always align with that line. As you stretch and move the mouth…
