Alien plant
- [Instructor] In the previous movie I showed you a super slug alien monster, and in this case we'll look at a plant-based creature. In the previous movie we did a cheat, it was a complete cheat to propel the alien across the ground with these little tentacle sucker things. This is going to be the opposite. In this case I'm going to show you an actual, believable mechanism to show that we can actually do it if we have to. Examples of super-intelligent monster plants would be Day of the Triffids, the 1980 British tv show was very creepy, and there's also The Little Shop of Horrors, which also has a plant monster, so they don't come along very often but they do happen, so let's take a look at how we design a method of propulsion for this creature. So, as I said, we're not using any existing references, I don't know of any, and I wanted to do it myself, so one way of doing it that really helps is to color-code these different root structures so you don't get lost in a tangle of noodles…
