Animating a very fast run on sixes

- [Voiceover] There's obviously a limit as to how fast you can run a character. At some point you run out of frames. And two frames, not going to happen because that they'll just strobe, the legs will strobe one into the other and you'll get nothing. So, this is a six frame run. That's probably about as fast as you can do it. You can even go to five, but if you start going to things life four, you have to do things like put speed blurs and like a dry brush kind of effect where you see like blurry lines and that kind of thing. So, do realize there's a limit to how far he can go. The smaller the legs though, they have a faster usually you can run because they're moving less distance, so you can have really crazy tiny fast runs with small legs. But for an average character, I like this guy. This is close to his limit. You can, of course, stretch the legs into a much longer pose if you want them to really pull it like out to here or there or do something totally nuts with it. This is…
