- [Voiceover] It's one thing to master a basic walk and to get the mechanical business of the legs, the arms, the basic poses working. But once you've achieved this, your next ambition or step will be to loosen that up. And here you can see my two contact poses. And what I've done is, on the passing position, I've smashed his elbow. And what you can see here is on the contact on this side, we have this little curve, little "V". The same "V" shape here, more or less. Now, I could have had a straight arm hanging down here and that might have loosened it up, but you would never think to do something like this. Just smash it. And this is what the old animators did back in the original '30s and '40s when they really began to experiment. So, this is not necessarily an anatomically correct position. You can do all kinds of incredible things with this system. I do want you to bear in mind, if you're working with certain CGI or 3-D rigs or certain puppets and some of the animation software…
