Gestures with other body parts
- [Instructor] Okay, we've talked a lot about gestures with arms. But what about other body parts? We did talk about the head, and how the head does things. But what about the legs? What about the characters that aren't anthropomorphic? Let's take a look at a couple of clips where we analyse what a character is doing with other body parts and why. You can see here this is very obvious. She's gesturing, drawing a line in the sand, right? That is a pretty obvious gesture and it's a good thing to do for a character just to break up things. How about the toe tap, right? Everybody knows that. You can say that's a little bit of a cliche. But for this particular scene it makes sense. What about how she kind of turns her leg, right? That says a little bit about maybe she's feeling a little nervous or shy. Going up on your legs. All these little things are again, details. Things that you do with other body parts in order to make the scene interesting. Now let's look at this jungle book scene…
