Tangents

- The bane of most animators lives is the tangent. That's one of these things that just crops up when you're moving so many lines around. Now, when we say tangent, we don't mean this kind of a tangent, we mean this kind of a tangent. The ones in red, and that's where there's no reason for that hair to touch the tip of that nose unless we've glued them together in the cartoon, which we haven't. They're in different points in three dimensional space, and the same goes for this, that hair should be behind or in front of the shoulder. So let's take a look at different methods for fixing this, and fortunately, they're fairly easy. So, we'll take a look at the next one. And here's another case where, okay this isn't a tangent either. I expect these lines to converge at that point because that's a point of origin. Again, not a tangent.
