- [Voiceover] Now let's take a look at how we cut between scenes, how do we transition from one scene to another? So these are some pages from a work in progress of mine. It's just two characters in a simple setting, in the diner, and they're talking. So that's basically just four pages of six panels per page. Let me walk you through these panels one by one so you can just have a general idea about what's going on here. So it begins with the exterior establishing shot. We can see our two figures here and here, and then we cut to a symmetrical close-up, and then we just see the character talking, trying to physically eat the menu, and this is all to explain that the menu is not the meal, the map is not the territory, basically, so we see the chef and the waitress looking at these two strange people, and then the chef calls the police, the young man realizes that everything he knows about reality is incorrect, begins to make the mistake of explaining this to the other inmates in the…
