Troll

- [Instructor] The last of our muscular monsters is a troll. He's enormous and powerful, but a bit dim. So, I imagine the troll as being more like a giant gorilla. He's a bit like King Kong, but he's even heavier. Imagine he's built out of stone. So, to really demonstrate this, is to ease in to the down positions when he's low down, and then ease out of them, so you pack a lot of drawings around say, frame 13, for example, in this case. And the tighter the spacing around those down keys, the more mass the character will seem to have. And, in addition, if you wanted to push it beyond what I have here, you could stretch the timing. So, for example, frame 13 might become frame 19, and you pack in even a few more in-betweens into that down position. Notice, also, how I've clustered a lot of in-betweens around frame 37, which itself is held for eight frames, again, just to give him more weight. I did hold up the pose on 65 in that up position. I wanted a lot of anticipation for that…
