Werewolf
- [Instructor] There are two ways of dealing with a werewolf. You can turn the character into a full wolf, complete transformation into a wolf, in which case you're animating a wolf, just maybe a really big one. But I want to tackle monsters in the more traditional sense of the word, so let's stick with the wolf-man. He's a half wolf half human, a lot like the original Wolfman with Lon Chaney in the 1930s. So, in animation, we can create figures where the character drops to a quadrupedal pose and do things that maybe a human actor can't. This would be very difficult to do in live action. So notice how I've designed the character here with a wolf-like or dog-like arms. See how they bend back like a dog, and also the feet are lifted off the ground in a way that you wouldn't see in a human. So we can kind of, in animation, have the best of both worlds.
