This course was designed as a primer and an introduction to Apache web server administration. We started with an introduction to just what Apache is and what it's used for. Explored the configuration and made changes. And then discussed how to log and analyze activity. With that said, we've just scratched the service. And I expect that you probably have more questions than when you started with. That's good. The more you learn, the more you'll find out what you don't know. Apache web server administration is a lot more than just the bare mechanics of configuring a site or restarting a server. There is performance, security, backups, scaling up or down, configuration management, hardware versus virtualization, deployment, and analytics, just to name a few topics. Especially if you're a one person IT department you should be asking yourself, what is my time worth, is this my sole responsibility, how important is to myself or the organization if something goes wrong?
