How to use the exercise files

- [Instructor] If you have access to the exercise files, you'll have access to something like this. This is our library for this training, it is our Photos library. And all you have to do is quit Photos. Make sure that it's not running on your Mac, find this, download it, find it and then just double click on it like that. If you do that, then it will launch your Photos app with our training library. Yay (laughs) that's really cool. Now we do a lot of work on images and the way that I send out the training library is in its finished state. So sometimes things might look a little different. Let's say in the early movie, before I've done something then it will look later on but I'm going to show you a trick. Here's an example. Here's an image that we worked on. If you want to see the original image or even go back to the original image, let's say it's an early movie, in your training library. Just go to edit. First thing you want to do is hold down the M key. That will show you the original shot and you'll go, "Oh yeah, that's what I'm seeing in the training library. That's what I want." If you want that, and then maybe follow along with what I do to the shot, then just go up here to revert to original. And then that will take you back to the original state. Okay, so you always have that option. Things change in the library as I work on them but you can always go back to the original state by doing this. Go to edit mode, press the M key, just to make sure that it is different. And if you want to go all the way back just go to revert original, okay? So I'm going to go ahead and click done right there. We're not going to change that right now. We're just going to leave it. Now, when you're ready to go back to your own photos library, there's only one trick that you have to keep in mind. So this isn't the trick. You just quit Photos. You don't tap on this. What you want to do is launch Photos again but hold down the Option key when you launch it. So I'm going to hold down the Option key and launch Photos. I didn't keep holding the Option key, so you can't just press it, you have to keep holding it, all right? Showed you that because I have made that mistake and I go, "Hey, wait a minute." So let's try that again. Now I'm going to keep holding the Option key. And here's what we get. We get something that looks like this. And what that is is here is our training library which is a standalone library, okay? But I want to go back to my library, the system photo library and that'll be in the list as well. So you'll have both in your list and if you've created other libraries, they might be there too. But the two for this training that I really want you to be aware of is our LinkedIn Learning library right here, 'cause that's our training library and then when you're ready to go back to your regular library, that's going to be right there, okay? So I'm going to choose our LinkedIn Learning training library 'cause we still have lots of work to do. And I just wanted to make sure that you could go back and forth between our training library and your library. This is going to be a lot of fun for you to work with these images. They're fresh images and you know, there's a lot of goodies here. And then when you're all smart, then you go back to your library and make those images better too.
